
Affogato: Coffee Meets Ice Cream
Here’s a little Italian treat that feels just right for summer. You know those moments when you’re craving coffee… but also ice cream? (Maybe it’s just me 🙂) Well, now you don’t have to choose. Because affogato brings them together in the best way.
Coffee gives you that boost and comfort. Ice cream brings the joy. So why not enjoy both at once? You get the contrast of hot and cold—and a perfect summer indulgence.
We’re using espresso for the coffee, just so you know. And vanilla ice cream is the classic choice, but you can go with any flavor that pairs well with coffee.
Ready? Let’s make affogato.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons coffee (finely ground works best for flavor and texture)
2 scoops of ice cream (vanilla, coffee, chocolate—or your favorite)
Instructions
This recipe makes two servings—you probably guessed from the quantities 🙂 One for you, one for someone you love.
First, brew your coffee using an espresso machine. While the espresso is still hot, pour it into glasses and add the ice cream on top. If you like, you can pour a little extra coffee over it.
And enjoy it right away—before it melts 💛
