No More PMS Bloating!
Every month, about a week before her menstrual cycle, she starts feeling heavy and uncomfortable. It's because her body holds on to water, causing bloating. Some of us experience this sensation more intensely. It can even affect our daily lives negatively. We find ourselves opting for loose-fitting clothes and may shy away from social gatherings a bit. This can make us extra tense and irritable. The bloating issue gradually subsides as the bleeding begins, but that one week can feel like pure torture. There's really nothing to blame here. Blaming the cyclical changes in hormones is like trying to write on water. However, I've got a few solutions for you now, actually. These are lifestyle changes, to be precise. I believe that if you follow these, you'll start feeling better. So, let's get started!
1- Cut down on your salt intake a few days in advance. And I'm not just talking about the salt shaker; I mean foods that contain salt too.
2- Exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, and break a sweat. These will help flush out excess salt from your body, making you feel lighter.
3- Try to eat less, but more frequently. Whole grains, vegetables, and fruits should be your best buddies during this time.
4- Consume teas that are good for reducing bloating and flushing out excess water. What are they, you ask? Well, we're talking about Melissa, fennel, chamomile, anise, and mint teas.
5- Don't forget about Omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins C, D, and E. They're not only good for reducing bloating but also for soothing those aches and pains. Cheers to that!
